My story is important to me because it was a turning point in my life. I went away to find myself and that was where it all fell into place.
Inside Lives has been a very worthwhile experience. It was quite challenging and a bit spooky!
I've been able to tell fortunes and read people's palms since I was little, but there was a time when I turned my back on all the psychic stuff. I tried to be normal and fit in. I suppose everyone does when they're 18. When I was going through my normal phase I moved down south. Things started to go wrong straight away. I was working two jobs and going to college. My love life was a mess and I never had any money. I thought I was going to crack up under the stress so I went for a walk in the new forest to clear my head. I remember looking at the sky and saying "Look, if anyone up there really does care, tell me what to do!" I walked on a bit then my foot went straight into a pot hole full of mud. It was icy cold & my foot got stuck. I had to pull really hard to get it out and when I did it was soaking wet and covered in mud. I remember saying "Good God, life just gets better and better doesn't it!" And then I hear this voice. There's no one around me but I hear this voice. It's not inside my head, it's right down my ear hole. It says "Oh, go home and be a fortune teller!" As mad as it was it made perfect sense. I packed in my jobs and my college course, dumped both of my boyfriends and bought a ticket back to Crewe. I started reading tealeaves on Northwich market a week later. Six years later I'm the youngest full time fortune teller in the UK. I know I've done the right thing. I absolutely love my job. So who was it? I don't know for sure. If it's my guardian angel then she's got a broad Crewe accent and very blunt way of putting things. But that voice gave me the kick up the backside I needed to sort my life out. I really believe there is always an answer to your problems, even if the answer is go home and be a fortune teller. |
