"I planted brightly coloured flowers, like poppies and nasturtium and built golden trellising..." My name is Phil, I'm 47 and have been happily married to Carole for the past 25 years. I've recently retired from the 'rat race' to become a full time carer to my wife who has Multiple Sclerosis. Retirement has opened up many new opportunities for both of us, in particular the chance to develop many new interests and skills, as we complete the makeover of our garden into a sensory 'haven of peace and tranquillity'. The senses of sight, smell, touch, taste and sound are all stimulated by the flowers and plants, water features, windchimes and wildlife. We hope to share our inspirations and achievements with other people with a disability and their carers by opening our garden to the public, as well as offering a virtual guided tour for those who cannot get to our garden in person.
