Leek Soup
Chip Shop Terror by pupils from Saint Mary’s RC Primary School
Walk into the Chippy,
Scared of fish,
In comes a hippy,
Flips a dish.

Brings out his Spud-gun-
Chip-launcher – Bang!
Chip knocks him out,
Dishes go clang!

Floor starts to shake,
Fish on attack,
Great big King Prawn
Comes from the back.

A touch on my arm,
I fall to the floor,
I think I’m being battered
So I make for the door.

I run from the shop,
The whole scene flips –

All I wanted
Was a bag of chips…

Year 6 Saint Mary’s RC Primary School
working with writer Pamela Brough Sandiford
