|  | Let’s face it, all these adults don’t know anything about us or exam stress, because they are ADULTS!
The thing below is a miserable excuse for a quote from Parentline Plus (they have an official site and it’s miscellaneous, dealing with all the issues under the sun and the moon, tell your parents not to check out unless they want some inane advice):
"Children may feel under pressure from people at school and home when it comes to exams and the prospect of being tested can be overwhelming, especially if they feel they haven't done enough," said Dorit Braun Chief Executive at Parentline Plus.
"Parents may watch their children struggling and be desperate to help but think themselves powerless to do so."
The kids are all right!
This ain’t about parents; this is about US! And the only reason we feel under pressure is because they keep on at us; they just sound like some old vinyl record gone horribly wrong which makes us rebel and think we should fail and that becomes the ‘cool’ of our time but somewhere inside you know you have to do well in the exams to get anywhere.
 | And when they get all concerned and all that with us, you think why can’t you be like that all the time. Besides, it is a well known fact that for you to be able to do an exam you have to have a fairly high I.Q.
So, if your parents are fanatics, tell them to cool it, you are quite capable of dealing with your own stress without the extra pressure!
Anyway, I’ll give you my way of dealing with exams; they are the simplest things in the world!
Top tips
* When your teacher is teaching, argue a few times, question their teaching; then they have to explain it to you and you get it!
* Revision; it’s about how you revise not the way other people revise; so if you listen to music while you revise then do; then you can associate the song with the work.
* MAKE RANDOM NOTES! They do not have to be in English for you to understand!
* If you don’t get it, then get it to get you! Simple trick if you don’t understand, set it up in a way that you understand something else; an analogy to be precise! For example, electrons whizz around in orbits if you don’t get that then imagine a multi-storey car park with a certain number of cars on each level and the cars are the electrons and storeys are the orbits!
* This is not the be all and end all of the world, if you don’t want to do it then don’t; at the end of the day what good is a GCSE that is a G level because you don’t care about it!
* And most importantly, believe in your capabilities; don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!
