| | Marmite, the Staffordshire-made... er... delicacy(!) is holding a series of special events to commemorate their centenary, and the designer, famously known for her punk clothes, is joining in.
British through and through
 | Vivienne Westwood | Marmite, which is based in Burton, say they're working Vivienne because it, and she, are well-known as British icons, with a touch for irreverence and eccentricity. The cheeky Love/Hate T-shirts feature the ‘Union Jack’ as well as the instantly recognisable Marmite label.
Vivienne Westwood is most famous for her part in creating the extraordinary, revolutionary look of punk movement of the 1970's. With partner Malcolm McLaren (manager of the Sex Pistols) she launched the variously named Kings Road shops Let It Rock (1970), Too Fast to Live Too Young To Die (1972), Sex (1974), Seditionaries (1976), and Worlds End (1981).
Ok - now, how do you get one? If you can't win one (see Marmite website), you can buy one - by sending in a Marmite label plus £9.99.
Vivienne Westwood Since 1991, when she was awarded the accolade of British fashion designer of the year, Vivienne has constantly been at the top of the British fashion scene In 2001 she was awarded the first Moet and Chandon Fashion Tribute for designers who have profoundly influenced Great Britain’s Lifestyle.
