Funky Facts about Church EatonIt used to have one of the smallest theatres in the country - at the Royal Oak pub, where they held an annual Comedy Festival. Also, Joan Eaton the witch was burned at the stake at a junction of lanes, just south-east of the village (it is still marked by a small triangular patch of grass). The village church dedicated to Saint Editha largely dates from the 12th century. St Editha was a local Anglo-Saxon princess.
