I spent many happy hours as a child playing at Mow Cop. I had a Cousin who lived in scholar Green, who had a lovely little cottage backing on to the canal. I lived in stevenage and could nt wait to visit her and get up to Mow Cop, it will always have special childhood memories for me, infact its made me think about visiting it very soon.

Hi,Im currently conducting a local history project and wondered if you had any information on the Wades Factory Building situated on Westport Road? now known as 12 Westport Road.Any information at all would be greatly appreciated, I am particularly interested in when the building was built.Kind Regards

Dave Thursfield.
In reply to Natalie regarding Yates's Wine Bar. If my memory serves me well, there was a ladies clothes shop there before the pub opened, I can't remember what it was called.

I've lived in many places in the UK but have settled near Tamworth for the last 8 years because it's such a friendly place. The Ventura Outlet shopping centre is brilliant with a vast Marks n Spencer! The countryside locally is beautiful. People really get involved with local events such as outdoor markets, carnivals, historical reenactments of the storming of Tamworth Castle - it really has a small town feel. I love it here!

Uttoxeter is a nice town to live in with the local schools we have a cinebowl that has just opened but for a 13 year old like me it gets pritty boring becuase there is not much Entertainment around. Uttoxeter is a good place to live some days it can be busy and some no one is around, the best fact is that we live very close to Alton Towers which is amasing so i go there every weekend!!!

Tutbury is a pretty small town, with ample shops to browse in, various cafe's to stop and have a drink and food, and unique shops selling clothes and jewellery with a difference

It's me again...Do kids still like to go and catch the tadpoles from the stream running between Massey's Farm and Calverhay Farm? Oh, the good old days!!

Burslem is the mother town, and the best part of Stoke on Trent. Most of it's downfalls can be found in any other town, but Burslem is full of soul and spirit. Long may it last.
