Of 'real' people born there, one of the most famous is the composer Havergal Brian. One of the greatest of the country's cabaret/supper clubs of the 1970s was based here - Jollees. As well as the smell of the slip from pottery factories, you will also get a whiff of toffee-making. Walkers Nonsuch has been based here since it started. Ben suggests "Maybe Longton park in the summer". B says the worst thing about Longton is "the pigeons in Longton Town Centre!"
