I have an old bowl marked Chllinor & Mayer. I can't quite make out the pattern name. It looks like Jadon. Honestly, it not very pretty and is stained. It is obviously not a finer example of the type of things they produced. I am curious about the age and the history of C&M. Thank You. Edwin Sherwood Lake Charles, LA.

I own a Staffordshire Spill Holder that is about 10" high and features a girl sitting on an old tree trunck overlooking water with a swan floating on it being stalked by a fox. It is mostly white but the girl and fox is painted and there are tufts of foliage like vermicelli on it . It is in perfect condition. Do you know if it is rare and if so how much it is worth ?

Where do I go from here? I found a beautiful china tea pot in a box of stuff belonging to my husband. He does not remember where he got it, but he did live in England for three years and bought some wonderful antiques. This pot has no markings, White, ornate with lots of gold embellishments. (Looks Victorian) Since there is no marking, is there no value?

Chris

I have a dark brown/black teapot stamped made in england with a number of 300, hand painted design with aqua/orange/gold in a series of diamond shapes and "crown crest" design between, with gold trim. Known to be a least 60 years. Embosed letters on bottom of teapot look like PBB England. Not sure of letters. Has a orange brush mark on the bottom of possibly the painter. Can you identify when made, and by who.

I have 2 Wedgwood plates dating, I believe from the thirties. They depict a woodland scene .. russet red background with flora and fauna in shades of white and greys. The featured animal is a stag. They are obviously hand-painted because the colours vary slightly. The edge is scallopped and highlighted in silver, which seems unusual. The story told to me is that my aunt's boyfriend at the time was an artist at Wedgwoods and these 2 plates were surplus to an order that was commissioned for export. The back gives the following info. :-[In black] STAG; WEDGWOOD ETRURIA ENGLAND. [In red} CL5LSY [5&S are not very clear]; E; B. Indentations in the plates shows 6U29.I remember them in my home since 1940 and am curious about their origin. Please can you help?

Annie Wilks

Hi Clive, I have a 12 piece tea-set which I bought in England (I live in France). It is white porelaine, with gold pattern around edge, and decorated with bunches of flowers. Each plate and cup and saucer are different. I bought it about 20 yrs ago and I have a feeling it was sold as 'Dresden'. The mark on the back of each item is a blue crown with 2 crossed swords underneath. I wonder if you can help me identify it. Thanks

Mo
I have a pair of green vases 17cm high, slight pearlised finish, with trees/bushes/hills on them. Marks on the bottom are the Stafford knot with HJWB, underneath is ENGLAND. Also what looks like N2 115 above the knot. Another mark is a hand painted red backwards Y. Have no idea of date etc. Could you help?

The glaze is crazed all over both on the top and bottom of the plate and has the word Holborn printed in blue in very small letters on tbe base. I can find nothing at all about Holborn and was wondering if you could enlighten me. Very many thanks - Caroline

I was wondering if you can hwlp me date my Grimwade Water & Wash basin, I have tried the Grimwade web site but no joy, if you date by the number on the base then that would be helpful. The number is 424760 "WISTARIA" pattern. Many thanks Karl

Hi, I am trying to find out a bit more info on a old razor that was found in my attic many years ago. I have seen many similar razors going for sale on E-Bay for realy cheap, But they shed no light on the dating of the item, I would be happy i you could shed the light. It is a brass wilkinson razor, With a checkered style grip handle. It has "PAT No 321115" aswell as "WILKINSON" embroided on the bottom of the head. unfortuantly i cant give a better description, But the overall design looks "Common" in that brand of dated razor, Only the design seems alot more "simple".
