Q. I saw the chart that you drew up for Robbie - it was v interesting. But what does it mean when it says he has a "kite aspect"? - Too Dumb to Worry
A. Hi there - good question! The Kite aspect figure in Robbie's chart indicates the potential for creative, artistic ability, but with a tendency towards not doing anything about this potential until the pressure is on and there is a deadline to be met. Many people who have this aspect figure in their charts deny that they have any special abilities, or reluctantly admit that they are creative and talented, but haven't developed this part of their personality. Robbie has......but how he actually feels about it, and how it operates for him would only be something that I would know more details of if he & I met to talk about his chart.
The Kite is one of 30+ motivational aspect patterns of behaviour and potential that can be seen in the natal chart using astrological psychology, and it is one of the aspect patterns I talk about in my book "The Cosmic Egg Timer". Cheers - Joyce
Q. I'm interested in astrology, but I was born in Australia, on the other side of the world with different starscape! Does this make a difference? - markia
A. Hi Markia, When I went to Oz a few years ago I was very excited to see the Southern Cross, and all the other constellations which we don't see here in the northern hemisphere, so yes, you are right in noting that difference!
However, the birth chart is not set up according to the constellations, but uses the positions of the planets in the solar system at the time of birth, and as viewed from the place of birth. If you are born in the southern hemisphere, your natal chart will be "upside down", so the astrologer will take this into account and make relevant adjustments to enable them to read the chart in the normal way...so no, it doesn't make a difference if corrected for properly.
