Jon Norwood is spending a gap year working with North Staffs Youth for Christ , helping with Sunday schools, after school clubs and school assemblies and Religious Education lessons. He plans to study architecture at Liverpool University. Hes also a sports enthusiast, and a lover of the countryside and walking. His favourite spiritual place is The Millpond at Blurton in Stoke-on-Trent. Jon says: "Its close to my house and easy to get to. It's just a small pond with lots of ducks and swans, a really nice nature area. I come from a small town outside Bristol, in the country, and this is the nearest thing to the countryside ofr me in Stoke on Trent. "It really relaxes me if Ive had a difficult or busy day. The swans and ducks often flock towards you; I love to come out here, it really makes me feel how amazing the world is. "It helps remind me that God created everything. I dont need to worry about it - the birds are relaxed, they dont need to worry about working hard to get money to live on, everything is provided for them. It helps to remind me that I can just rely on God."
