Staffordshire Spiritual Places: Hanley Park

Her favourite spiritual place is Hanley Park in Stoke-on-Trent. Jayne says:

"This is somewhere that's really close to my house and a haven for me to get away from everything. I come here for walks and to relax, it's very beautiful and I come here running as well so it's really nice.

"I often think about the problems I've had in the day, I come from Worcester originally but I really like it here, it feels like a sanctuary and a place to get a way.

"I tend to spend a lot of time talking to God, and this is somewhere and talk to God as I'm walking along. I bring the bible down here if it's sunny and just ask Him to answer my prayers.

"If there's one thing I could improve it'd be to clean up the lake, there's quite a lot of rubbish in it so that'd be really nice. But this is fine and it'll do for now."
