New Zealand retained the Womens World Cup with a 19 - 9 victory over England at the Olympic stadium in Barcelona.

At half time England came close to the Kiwi's, after Shelley Rae's drop goal brought the score to 11 - 9 in the Black Ferns favour.

But New Zealand's Hans Myers confirmed the team's continual dominance in the sport with a final penalty in injury time.

Can anyone take the Kiwi's crown?

The Women's World Cup is an excellent opportunity for rugby to have a bigger profile in some less obvious countries. However, there are still very few teams with any chance, and only one team with real dominance of the game.
