| Rock to miss York After six consecutive Group Ones Rock will be rested Rock Of Gibraltar is set to miss York's Ebor Meeting later this month as trainer Aidan O'Brien chooses to rest the three-year-old. The multiple Group One winner, who carries the colours of Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, has been in tremendous form of late. He equalled Mill Reef's record of six consecutive victories at the highest level when he won the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood last week. Rock had Group One options at York in both the Victor Chandler Nunthorpe Stakes and the Juddmonte International Stakes, but several of O'Brien's Classic generation have been affected by coughing. "York is now off the agenda for Rock Of Gibraltar, who is on a break together with many of the other three-year-olds," O'Brien told the Racing Post. |
