The 36-year-old Belgian has won two World Cup races this year for the Domo team. Victories in the Paris-Roubaix and the HEW-Cyclassics in Hamburg have helped Museeuw to second in the overall standings. But he has confirmed that his role at Quick Step will involve more than racing. "I've signed for a year even if I've still not decided how many months I'm going to race next season," said Museeuw. "The contract includes a follow-up when I stop cycling altogether. "I will have a role in the Quick Step team which is in part public relations but also using my knowledge to scout and train young riders." Museeuw's compatriot Frank Vandenbroucke may soon be his team-mate, having been linked with a move to Quick Step. Team boss Patrick Lefevere is also chasing experienced Frenchman Richard Virenque. | See also: 15 Apr 02 | Cycling 14 Apr 02 | Cycling Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites Top Cycling stories now: Links to more Cycling stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
