| Williams offer Rosberg test ![]() Keke Rosberg (right) is a regular figure in F1 Nico Rosberg will become the latest son of a former world champion to try out a Formula One car when he tests for Williams later this year. The 17-year-old son of Finnish 1982 champion Keke Rosberg was invited to test the FW24 after winning the Formula BMW ADAC championship in Germany. "In special cases we like to give exceptionally talented drivers a taste of the world of F1," said BMW motorsport director Gerhard Berger, a former rival of Keke Rosberg's. "Nico has potential and he should have the opportunity to drive an F1 car without being under any pressure." Berger added that a slot would be found for Rosberg once the testing window, which closes after Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix, re-opens in November. Keke Rosberg won his title with Williams, for whom he drove from 1982-85. | Top Formula One stories now: Links to more Formula One stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
