Not a Wise move
Oh Honey, don't be a cereal killer

Dennis Wise could be ditched by the Honey Monster for his alleged bad behaviour at Leicester.

The pint-sized midfielder has been appearing with the hairy giant in a commerical for Sugar Puffs.

But Quaker Oats, who make the breakfast cereal, are rumoured to be concerned by reports of Wise's off-the-field antics.

The 35-year-old ex-England star is also facing the chop from Leicester amid accusations that he attacked team-mate Callum Davidson in a hotel room last month.

Defender Davidson was left with a fractured cheekbone as a result of an incident in Finland.

A Quaker Oats spokesman told BBC Sport Online: "We cannot and should not comment on this particular incident."

Pass the Barbican (hic)

But you have to wonder whether a man with Wise's fiery reputation was ever really going to be a suitable role model for children.

In the advert, the 5 ft 6 in player is seen swapping shirts with the lumbering eight-foot monster, who has previously starred in commercials with Kevin Keegan and Peter Schmeichel.

If Wise is dropped, he will not be the first footballer to be shown the red card by the ad men.

Back in the seventies, Lawrie McMenemy was the face of alcohol-free lager Barbican.

The former Southampton boss boomed: "It's great!" - and it was. Until he got pulled for drink-driving that is.

The commercial, unsurprisingly, was dropped.

You would think advertisers would have learned their lessons by now, but surely there must be some combinations even they would not put together.

Bobby Charlton and Wash 'n Go:

He's washed it - and it's gone all right.

Bobby Robson and anti-ageing cream:

"But I'm really 150 - honest!"

Diego Maradona
All right, I ate all the pies

Diego Maradona and Slimfast:

"I have one shake for breakfast and one for lunch, so can anyone explain why I'm still such a fat bloater?"

Probably something to do with the 48 Big Macs you have for tea, Diego.

Graham Taylor and Orange phones:

"Do I not like Orange..." - cut!

Steve Bruce and Sure deodorant:
"It won't let you down." Course not, Steve.
