They want to release him from his contract as soon as possible. Coelho's contract does not run out until October of this year, but the FRMF are hoping he will agree to a separation package. The former Portugal coach had a bad time with Morocco at Mali 2002, after disagreements with major stars meant an understrength side failed to make it out of the group stages. A spokesman for the FRMF told Moroccan TV station RTM: "Coelho will stay in charge of the national team until October 2002 but we're hoping for an amicable and rapid separation so that we can find a replacement." | See also: 07 May 02 | Africa 21 Feb 02 | Africa 16 May 02 | Other History Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites Top Africa stories now: Links to more Africa stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
