Kallis became just the fifth Test player to post 4000 runs and 100 wickets during the first Test against Bangladesh.
And he hit 139 not out and took five wickets in the space of 12 balls as South Africa inflicted a second innings defeat on the tourists on Sunday. Kallis moved up five places to 10th in the PwC rankings for bowlers and up two to sixth in the batting ratings.
"I've worked hard during the off-season, especially with my bowling to change the action a little and get some swing," Kallis said after the match. "It's nice to see that the hard work paid off." Named as man of the series, Kallis was not dismissed in either Test, hitting an unbeaten 75 in the first match. |
