England U19s lose series
Kyle Hogg
Hogg's ton was not enough for England
England Under-19s v India Under-19s, Taunton: England 269 all out (50 overs) lost to India 262-9 (47 overs) by one wicket - India win three-game series 2-0

England suffered a thrilling one-wicket defeat as India claimed the three-game U19 series with one game to play.

Chandrashekar Atram struck 10 from the last two balls of the innings as India snatched victory from England's grasp.

The number 11's heroics, launching a six and a four, saw the visitors past their readjusted target, after rain, of 259.

England's total of 269 was based around a marvellous 103 from Lancashire's Kyle Hogg, who also claimed three for 51 as India collapsed from 175 for two 237 for nine.

However, Atram, in partnership with Abhishek Sharma, eased India's fears with an unbroken last-wicket partnership of 25 to spark scenes of joy on the outfield.
