 York Phoenix's men will play against national players in the top flight |
York Phoenix enjoyed their best ever season with both the men's and women's teams performing strongly. The men's team became Yorkshire Volleyball Association Division One champions while the ladies were runners-up in the knock-out cup. The men won 11 out of 12 games to be promoted to the Premier League for the first time in their history. The ladies finished fourth in their league before losing narrowly to Leeds Carnegie in the cup final.
