Sir Steve Redgrave tasted a rare defeat in Eton as his charity quartet came up short in a legends rowing race.

Redgrave was joined by Sir Matthew Pinsent, James Cracknell and Tim Foster - the rest of the gold medal-winning crew from the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

But the British boat that won Redgrave his fifth Games gold was on the wrong end of a narrow finish this time, behind winners Slovenia and Italy.

All money raised from the event will go to the World Food Programme's appeal.

If you would like to make a contribution you can do so in a number of ways.
