The Roland Garros tournament from 30 May to 10 June is one of the highlights of the tennis season.

All the world's top players will be there to slug it out on the gruelling Parisian clay.

British stars Tim Henman and Greg Rusedski will also be in action and will be hoping for more success than in previous years.

Grandstand and Sunday Grandstand have action at the midway point of the tournament on 2 and 3 June.

There will be coverage of the men's and women's singles final on BBC TV on 9 June on Grandstand and 10 June in Sunday Grandstand.

Radio Five Live will also provide live commentary during finals weekend in Sport on Five.

Last year, Gustavo Kuerten won the men's singles and many believe that he will retain his title this year.

But he will have to see off the challenge of a host of other contenders, including Andre Agassi, who won the first Grand Slam event of the season in Australia.

Women's champion Mary Pierce has had a poor year since winning the title last year.

There will be many hoping to snatch her crown, including Martina Hingis, who has never won the event.
