| Friday, 14 June, 2002, 08:58 GMT 09:58 UK David Felgate Felgate now coaches Xavier Malisse David Felgate established his reputation as one of the world's top tennis coaches during his time with the British number one Tim Henman. The pair made a mutual decision to part company last year but they still maintain a strong friendship. The 37-year-old Felgate had coached Henman since he won the under-18 British title in 1992. The partnership saw Henman win seven ATP titles, reach the semi-finals of Wimbledon twice and attain a career-high ranking of number five in the world. The Essex-born Felgate now looks after the up-and-coming Belgian star Xavier Malisse. The 20-year-old has produced some impressive performances since he and Felgate began working together in April 2001. |
