| Saturday, 20 July, 2002, 22:37 GMT 23:37 UK Annabel Croft Annabel Croft at Wimbledon during her prime Annabel Croft made her debut as a Five Live summariser at Wimbledon in 2000 and this will be her third summer with the team. After taking up tennis at the age of nine, Annabel became, at 15, the youngest Briton to play at Wimbledon for nearly 100 years. She was a Wimbledon junior champion in 1984, and a year later picked up her first senior tournament title in San Diego. Annabel retired from the international circuit at 21 while ranked in the world's top 25 after having established herself as British number one. She has since carved out a career in the media, particularly on TV, working as a tennis presenter and summariser for Eurosport. Annabel married former Americas Cup yachtsman Mel Coleman in 1993, and the couple have three children. |
