American twins Mike and Bob Bryan won the French Open men's doubles title with a straight-sets victory over Paul Haarhuis and Yevgeny Kafelnikov. For Mike Bryan it was his second title at Roland Garros having won the mixed doubles crown with Lisa Raymond on Friday.
In Saturday's event, the 23-year-olds took an hour and 20 minutes to win 7-6 6-3.
"It's very special winning with your twin brother," said Mike in what was his 11th doubles title with his brother.
The left-handed duo were the stronger from the outset of the match and took the opportunities given to them in the tiebreak to tseal it 7-3.
Kafelnikov and Haarhuis failed to have quite the same cohesion in the second set and their challenge steadily ebbed away.
The result improved the Bryans' previous Grand Slam best of reaching the last four at Wimbledon twice and at the US Open last year.
Haarhuis said it was his last in Paris - although he admitted he could be back.
The Dutchman said: "I think I've been saying it for many years. It's my last French Open, unless of course I change my mind again in years to come."
