British number one Elena Baltacha has been awarded a wildcard for the Aegon International in Eastbourne. The 27-year-old, currently world number 74, beat the new French Open champion Li Na at last year's tournament. "This year's player field in Eastbourne is unbelievable and it's fantastic to be part of it," Baltacha said. "It's always nice to come back to a place where you've played well, and there's nothing I love more than playing in front of a British crowd." Baltacha will join Serena Williams and Na in the tournament, which gets underway at Devonshire Park on Saturday.
