Liverpool's Ken Skupski is hoping his doubles career will take a boost from Wednesday's victory over the Bryan brothers at the Queen's Club.

Skupski and partner Colin Fleming beat world number one doubles pairing Bob and Mike Bryan 6-4, 6-4.

"These guys are going to be seeded number one at Wimbledon," Skupski told BBC Radio Merseyside.

"If we can take them down we feel like we can go ahead and take anybody in the tournament and get as far as we can."

Skupski, 26, is currently ranked 148 in doubles, with 14-year-old partner Fleming coming in at 165.

Skupski described events in London on Wednesday as the "pinnacle of my career".

"It's one of those things you sort of sit back after you've finished and just reflect on what has happened.

"It really hasn't sunk in yet, it's going to take another few days to really understand what we've achieved."

Skupski, who has received a wild card to play Eastbourne next week, is now in confident mood ahead Friday's quarter-finals - against Poland's Lukasz Kubot and Austrian Oliver Marach.

"There's still a tournament to win," he said. "We play again on Friday and, hopefully, if we keep our performance high and play well, we could find ourselves in the semi-finals on Saturday."
