Lucy Shuker has been beaten in her semi-final at the Sydney International Wheelchair Tennis Open. The Taunton-based world number 12 lost 6-0 6-2 to world number three Jiske Griffoen, from the Netherlands The Qatar-born 28-year-old, who lives in Hampshire, was given passage to the last four when German quarter-final opponent Katharina Kruger fell ill. This latest defeat was the eighth consecutive time that Shuker has lost to Griffioen.
