Djokvic suffered with numerous ailments in his fourth-round match |
"If we start talking about the things that are bothering me now, we will talk until tomorrow." Novak Djokovic is not feeling terribly positive despite his five-set win over Tommy Robredo. "Whoever it is, they will be physically fitter than me, that's for sure." Djokovic has some good news for Andy Roddick or Fernando Gonzalez ahead of the quarter-finals. "It's not that I don't believe. I have pain as well. I was running like hell and my feet were burning but I say nothing, no? I think that if you're not fit enough, then don't play." Robredo does not sound convinced about Djokovic's ailments. "I got to feel good because he (Djokovic) has got about 16 injuries right now." While Andy Roddick does not sound too sympathetic. | 606: DEBATE |
"You always wish for three sets but honestly those five-setters are fun too." We believe you Roger, really. "I broke all my racquets. I didn't have a racquet for the fifth set. I broke four. Now I hold the record. Now I go home. No racquets. I really don't like these racquets." A beaten Nikolay Davydenko seems to have a problem with his, er, racquets. "I don't want to talk about it." Elena Dementieva is asked to recall her comment during Wimbledon that the all-Williams final would be decided by a "family decision". "I was never thinking about this. Do I need to - do I need to get respect? Do I have respect or do I want this respect? I'm just trying, you know, to play some tennis." Dementieva is not overly concerned about the respect she gets as a world number six. We think. "I played some really good games but didn't end up winning all of them." Patty Schnyder dissects her defeat by Dementieva.
