Sharapova broke Cibulkova three times in the first set |
Fourth seed Maria Sharapova eased into the semi-finals of the Qatar Open in Doha, with a thumping victory over Danish teenager Caroline Wozniacki. Sharapova dropped only one game in her 6-0 6-1 win and will face Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska in the last-four.
Radwanska beat Slovakia's Dominika Cibulkova 4-6 7-6 (7-1) 6-4.
But third seed Jelena Jankovic crashed out 6-3 6-4 to unseeded Li Na of China, who now faces Russia's Vera Zvonareva in the semi-finals.
Jankovic found little rhythm or consistency against an aggressive Li Na, who since returning in January from a six-month injury break has won the Gold Coast event in Australia and reached the semi-finals in Antwerp.
Sharapova cruised to her 12th successive victory in all competitions this year with yet another dominant and powerful baseline display.

"I felt pretty comfortable from the beginning," said the world number five. "I was aggressive. I served and returned pretty well and felt pretty good."
Sharapova's win set up an intriguing encounter against world number 20 Radwanska, who knocked her out of the US Open in September last year.
"I don't like losing to an opponent twice in a row, so I am quite excited about getting an opportunity to play her again and give myself a chance to beat her," said the Russian.
Radwanska was handed a walk-over into the quarter-finals after her third round opponent, top seed Ana Ivanovic, withdrew because of an ankle injury.
But the world number 20 had to work hard to see off Cibulkova, who had upset Venus Williams on Thursday.
