Ivanovic says she felt "sleepy" in the second set against Wozniacki |
"This is the first time I've played the first (morning) match and I was sleeping in through the whole week really long in the morning. Today I had to wake up really early."
Ana Ivanovic proves it's not easy being a top tennis star.
"I could have probably slept all day yesterday but I had to get up at some stage and do rehab."
Lleyton Hewitt admits he was also longing for a lie-in after his marathon match against Marcos Baghdatis.
"I am very happy, but now I am a little bit tired. I have one day to relax."
What is with these tennis players? David Ferrer is another sleepy-head ready for bed.
"I haven't been doing much. I've been quite lazy actually. Hanging out with my friends and just taking it easy."
Not you as well Roger? Mr Federer explains what he does in between matches.
"Let's see. It's been longer since the Giants made the finals, but selfishly I've got to say me making the quarter-finals."
At least he's honest, American football fan James Blake when asked whether the New York Giants progress to the Super Bowl or his fourth-round win made him happier.
"I've got a little something going on but it's not going to hurt anybody."
Venus Williams gets all coy when asked about the strapping on her thigh.
"In the third set, I don't know what she was doing, but it's not a question for me."
Agnieszka Radwanska is as mystified as the rest of us by Nadia Petrova's capitulation.
"I couldn't do anything because I couldn't run at the end of the third set, so that was it."
Petrova explains all.
