Murray is looking for a full-time doubles partner |
Jamie Murray and Jordan Kerr lost 6-2 6-3 to Mariusz Fyrstenberg and Marcin Matkowski in the doubles semi-finals of the Pilot Pen event in New Haven. The Scot and his Australian partner were blown away by the power-serving of the Polish fourth seeds, who lost only five points on serve during the match.
"They served well and backed it up at the net," said Murray.
"We were pretty flat. That was frustrating, because we never really gave ourselves a shot to challenge."
Murray was bidding for his first final since he teamed up with Eric Butorac to win the Nottingham title in June.
The pair, will now be reunited for the US Open, won three ATP titles in 2007 but have played with different partners in New Haven. Butorac and partner Ashley Fisher also reached the last four.
Murray added: "It will be my first time at the Open so that will be good and we might even be seeded."
Since announcing he will split from Butorac after the US Open, Murray has partnered James Blake and India's Mahesh Bhupathi.
