Murray is looking for a full-time doubles partner |
Jamie Murray and new doubles partner James Blake crashed out in the first round of the Rogers Cup in Montreal. Murray and world number nine Blake fell 6-7 (3/7) 6-3 10-8 to Ivan Ljubicic and Fernando Gonzalez.
Murray and Blake dominated the first-set tie-break. In the second set, Gonzalez and Ljubicic broke in the eighth game and then served out.
And with the momentum on their side the singles specialists took a tight decider to progress.
Murray announced last week he would split from regular partner Eric Butorac after the US Open.
He opted to play with Blake this week and India's Mahesh Bhupathi in his next tournament.
