Britain's Alex Bogdanovic and Anne Keothavong both failed in their bids to reach the main draw of the French Open. Bogdanovic, ranked 113 in the world, suffered a 6-3 6-0 loss to Portugal's Frederico Gil in the second round of qualifying at Roland Garros.
World number 169 Keothavong exited at the same stage following a 6-3 6-2 reverse against China's Yuan Meng.
Britain's Andy Murray withdrew from the tournament on Tuesday with a wrist injury, but Tim Henman will play.
