 Murray and Butorac were seeking their third title this year |
Jamie Murray and Eric Butorac were knocked out of the Valencia Open doubles event in straight sets to Rogier Wassen and Tomas Behrend. The Scot and American Butorac were beaten 6-3 7-6 (7-3) in the quarter-final on the Spanish clay.
The victory was some consolation for Dutchman Wassen who lost to Murray and Greg Rusedski in the Davis Cup doubles last week.
Murray and Butorac beat the top seeds in the first round on Wednesday.
The 6-3 6-7 (2-7) 10-7 win over Germany's Michael Kohlmann and Robert Lindstedt of Sweden was their 14th together in 2007.
