Jamie Murray and Eric Butorac
Murray and Butorac have two ATP titles already this year
Jamie Murray transferred his Davis Cup form to the Spanish clay as he and Eric Butorac beat the top seeds in round one of the Valencia Open doubles event.

The Scot and American Butorac beat Germany's Michael Kohlmann and Robert Lindstedt of Sweden 6-3 6-7 (2-7) 10-7 on a super tie-break.

Murray next faces a rematch with Dutchman Rogier Wassen, who will be partnered by German Tomas Behrend.

Wassen was beaten by Murray and Greg Rusedski in the Davis Cup on Saturday.

Murray and Butorac have now won 14 matches together in 2007, and taken titles in San Jose and Memphis.

In Wednesday's singles matches in Valencia, defending champion Nicolas Amalgro beat Alessio di Mauro 7-5 6-2 to reach round three.

Fourth seed Fernando Verdasco was the biggest casualty of the day as he lost 6-1 4-6 6-3 to Potito Starace in the first round.
