Delgado has yet to win a Davis Cup singles rubber in five attempts |
Jamie Delgado gave two gutsy displays but could not stop Great Britain from losing their Davis Cup Euro-Africa Zone Group One tie to Israel at Eastbourne. Delgado, ranked 427 in the world, was edged out in both the singles and doubles as Britain lost 3-2.
"I'm unbelievably disappointed but when I look back I won't be able to think of any other two days like it for me," the Birmingham-born star, 29, said.
"I've lost two five-setters but given it everything."
