UPDATES (all times BST):

By Richard Hookham

Fifth set

Murray/Delgado 4-6 Ram/Erlich
The best game of the match but it's Israel celebrating! An astonishing see-saw epic of a game that sees Jonathan Erlich finally hold serve to seal victory.

Murray/Delgado 4-5 Ram/Erlich
Delgado, who throws in two untimely double faults, is broken! Ram steps up to deliver his best game of the match and now Israel are serving for the match after winning four games on the spin.

Murray/Delgado 4-4 Ram/Erlich
Ram choses the perfect time for his first love service game to bring the scores level. All of a sudden, the Brits look down and out and Israel are the much stronger team. Murray is struggling with a neck injury and just needs to concentrate.

Murray/Delgado 4-3 Ram/Erlich
A real nightmare game for the Brits. Ram hands them two game points after a couple of shocking errors, but Israel hit back and Murray loses his serve as fatigue really starts to kick in for the young Scot.

Murray/Delgado 4-2 Ram/Erlich
A sixth ace at game point from Jonatahn Erlich pulls Israel through and keeps them in the match. Rams choses the right time to pull out some sublime volleyed winners.

Murray/Delgado 4-1 Ram/Erlich
Delgado, who has never won a Davis Cup tie in his three matches, is a man inspired. His net play is now at a different level now and a blistering volley, on his own serve, steers the Brits into a three-game lead.

Murray/Delgado 3-1 Ram/Erlich
Superb stuff from the British duo as Ram, as we suspected, is broken. He looks like a rabbit caught in headlights at times, but is Delgado who is hunting him down at every shot. Murray is looking very animated and can almost smell victory.

Murray/Delgado 2-1 Ram/Erlich
Britain thrust the pressure back on their opponents as Murray holds serve. Serving first in this set gives them a real advantage. The next game, on the weaker serve of Andy Ram, could be the key.

Murray/Delgado 1-1 Ram/Erlich
A comfortable hold for Israel. This match is now wonderfully set-up. There are no tie-breaks in the fifth set of Davis Cup matches, so we could be here for a while yet.

Murray/Delgado 1-0 Ram/Erlich

Delgado holds safely. If anything, he looks to be getting stronger with each game. At the same time, Murray seems to be flagging, perhaps showing the results of Friday's five-setter.

Fourth set

Murray/Delgado 3-6 Ram/Erlich
Could this be the turning point? Britain let four break points on the Erlich serve shamefully dissolve away. Erlich, who has been the rock of the visitors' team, battles back brilliantly to secure the fouth set and put Israel into the ascendancy.

Murray/Delgado 3-5 Ram/Erlich
Murray holds to 15. He looks angry with everyone at the moment. Himself, the umpire and especially the girl in the crowd who yells out during a short rally and gets the cold stare treatment.

Murray/Delgado 2-5 Ram/Erlich
Ram ignores a dive-bombing seagull to fend off the British pressure on his serve. Murray delivers a trademark rebuke of the umpire for missing another obvious line call, and it seems to be putting him off his stride.

Murray/Delgado 2-4 Ram/Erlich
What a great time for Delgado to produce his first ace of the match. It's a game-winning point as well and keeps the Brits in the set with another chance to attack the Ram serve.

Murray/Delgado 1-4 Ram/Erlich
Jonathan Erlich produces another solid service hold, including his fourth ace of the match. The Buenos Aries-born right-hander is certainly the stronger member of the pair and seems to be producing the goods for Israel when needed.

Murray/Delgado 1-3 Ram/Erlich
Maybe this determined hold of serve can now inspire Murray. He's done well to pull that one out of the bag. Maybe GB captain Bates' words of wisdom are paying off.

Murray/Delgado 0-3 Ram/Erlich
Jeremy Bates is going to have to deliver the tennis equivalent of the Gettysburg Address to inspire his team at the moment. But even Abraham Lincoln would struggle to lift Murray right now. He looks very flat and is struggling to even raise the energy to return serve.

Murray/Delgado 0-2 Ram/Erlich
Delgado loses his serve, but it is Murray making the mistakes. His weak volley into the net at game point prompts a frustrated thwack of the floor. Andy Ram dashes off for a quick gentleman's break in all the excitement.

Murray/Delgado 0-1 Ram/Erlich
Britain lose the momentum as Israel hit back with a crucial service hold from Erlich.

Third set

Murray/Delgado 7-5 Ram/Erlich
And he does it! Despite a few dodgy line calls, Murray holds serve as his sweet backhand volley flies past the outstretched Erlich to secure the point and the set. At 30-15, when his first serve was called out, Murray screamed: "I swear on my mother's life that ball was in."

Murray/Delgado 6-5 Ram/Erlich
Britain break Andy Ram's serve for the second consecutive time. He now looks vulnerable every time he takes the balls. It leaves Andy Murray serving for the set.

Murray/Delgado 5-5 Ram/Erlich
Delgado has gone up to a different level. The third serve running he has held to 15. He looks to be dragging Murray along at the moment and rightly so. He might not be as good, but he's 10 years older and has bags more experience.

Murray/Delgado 4-5 Ram/Erlich
In a flash, Israel hold serve to love and are poised to capture the third set.

Murray/Delgado 4-4 Ram/Erlich
Would you believe it? Just when the Brits looked to be in control Murray's serve goes to pieces and Ram and Erlich break back immediately. Pure joy from the visitors' team courtside while GB captain Jeremy Bates looks to the heavens.

Murray/Delgado 4-3 Ram/Erlich
Delgado instigates a brilliant break of serve with two sensational points. The first is an instinctive chipped backhand which eludes Ram, the the second, a rasping forehand drive which clips the net before shooting down the middle and cutting the Israelis in two.

Murray/Delgado 3-3 Ram/Erlich
Delgado seems to have rediscovered the accuracy on his serve as he pulls the Brits level. On his two service games in the third set, the Birmingham battler has only dropped two points. That's more like it.

Murray/Delgado 2-3 Ram/Erlich
The Israelis show no reaction to missing out on breaking Murray's serve as Erlich holds comfortably.

Murray/Delgado 2-2 Ram/Erlich
Murray is still the only man not to have lost his serve in the match. The teenager roars his delight after saving two break points before Ram goes long with a fierce backhand down the middle to hand the game to the British duo.

Murray/Delgado 1-2 Ram/Erlich
Better returning from the Brits, especially Delgado, but it's not enough to prevent Andy Ram putting his team back on top.

Murray/Delgado 1-1 Ram/Erlich
Delgado gets three out of four first serves in which makes all the difference as the home pair steady the ship with a welcome hold.

Murray/Delgado 0-1 Ram/Erlich
Jonathan's Erlich's first ace of the match secures an easy hold for Israel. The visitors are really starting to get into their stride now.

Second set

Murray/Delgado 3-6 Ram/Erlich
Jamie Delgado's serve has suddenly gone to pot. The Israelis are ruthlessly jumping all over his weaker second delivery, forcing the 29-year-old Briton into a string of errors. The pressure finally tells and Erlich seals the second set with a forehand winner.

Murray/Delgado 3-5 Ram/Erlich
Murray blasts a massive forehand into the net which has Erlich clenching his fist in defiance as he holds to put his team within sight of the second set.

Murray/Delgado 3-4 Ram/Erlich
Murray battles back from 0-40 down to hold serve, suddenly finding excellent penetration to have Ram and Erlich floundering.

Murray/Delgado 2-4 Ram/Erlich
Ram labours to another important hold. The Israeli lads are currently at number 12 in the ATP doubles rankings and while showing a nice array of deft shots, they are still struggling to find their best form.

Murray/Delgado 2-3 Ram/Erlich
Full credit to Degado. He again looks vulnerable but manages to produce two big serves to save the game with Erlich again teasing him with some tantalising lobs.

Murray/Delgado 1-3 Ram/Erlich
For the second successive Israeli service game the Brits have got to 15-30 but failed to see out the game.

Murray/Delgado 1-2 Ram/Erlich
Solid hold from Murray. Delgado jumps in with some timely netplay, forcing Ram into some costly errors.

Murray/Delgado 0-2 Ram/Erlich
Israel hold to capitalise on their service break. Murray has chosen the wrong time to produce some lazy backhand returns.

Murray/Delgado 0-1 Ram/Erlich
Delgado is put under intense pressure as the Israeli pair bounce back with their first break. Delgado's first-serve percentage suddenly drops dramatically and Erlich, in particular, is happy to rattle off some easy winners.

First set

Murray/Delgado 6-3 Ram/Erlich
A trademark double-fisted backhand from Murray at 15-40 ensures Great Britain complete the double break and seal the first set in emphatic style.

Murray/Delgado 5-3 Ram/Erlich
Murray angles some lethal serves to the corners as he cruises to another comfortable hold. The Israeli's seem to be targeting 5ft 9" Delgado with the odd cheeky lob. I wonder why.

Murray/Delgado 4-3 Ram/Erlich
Second love service game for Israel with Andy Ram finishing on his first ace. Murray is prowling like a hungry mountain lion at the net, ready to pouce on any Israeli error.

Murray/Delgado 4-2 Ram/Erlich
Four first serves in from gritty right-hander Jamie Delgado prove decisive as Britain extend their lead with a love game.

Murray/Delgado 3-2 Ram/Erlich
Israel save a break point on the Erlich serve to avoid going down a double-break. Murray ruthlessly fired home a cross-court forehand to set up the chance, but Erlich held firm with two solid volleys to secure the game.

Murray/Delgado 3-1 Ram/Erlich
Murray consolidates the break with a solid hold of his own service. Andy Ram slips near the net indicating that the surface is still damp from the earlier showers.

Murray/Delgado 2-1 Ram/Erlich
Superb returns from Murray of the Ram serve earns the British duo an early break. Delgado backs his partner up well with some positive net play.

Murray/Delgado 1-1 Ram/Erlich
Jamie Delgado is surprisingly handed the responsibility of serving first for Britain and he holds his nerve to serve out for 1-1.

Murray/Delgado 0-1 Ram/Erlich
An impressive opening serving game by Jonathan Erlich to put Israel into an early lead. Three first serves in with an ace to wrap it up.

1643: Play is about the commence with Great Britain winning the toss and opting to receive.

1632: Another announcement. This time it's better news. Play is due to get underway at 1635, two and-a-half-hours late. The ball girls and boys burst out from the dressing room to resume their positions.

1605: A court inspection is due at 1615. The net is back up and a few optimistic fans are returning to their seats in anticipation.

1556: Encouraging signs. The covers are being peeled away on centre court so perhaps we are due for some play soon. The skies are certainly looking a lot brighter but we await a formal announcement on a start time.

1515: No updates yet from the organisers on when play will start. The covers are still on and the rain still falling in a light drizzle. We will keep you posted.

1443: Looks like we will get a further delay as the rain starts to fall again at Eastbourne. The players have gone back to the locker room and the covers are coming on to centre court.

1434: The players walk out on court to great applause and have already begun to knock-up.

1429: Some angry-looking clouds are still hovering over Devonshire Park, Eastbourne. The 30-minute delay was caused by an intense thunderstorm around midday which lasted for 10 minutes. The breeze is getting up again and there is a chance we may get another downpour before the afternoon is out.

1426: The atmosphere is building nicely with both sets of players ready to enter the fray. The overall match is delicately poised at 1-1 after Andy Murray dramatically levelled on Friday with an epic five-set victory over Andy Ram. Today, the teenage Scot teams up with Jamie Delgado for a crucial doubles clash with Ram and Jonathan Erlich, hoping to move into a 2-1 lead.

1418: Uh Oh. The court announcer has slipped into hospital radio mode and ordered the crowd to get up and singalong to Cliff's 'Summer Holiday'. Perhaps the great man is waiting somewhere in the wings ready to make a real life guest appearance if we get more showers later in the afternoon.

1410: The court announcer assures the crowd that play will commence at 1430. Cue a tinny version of Bob Marley's 'I Don't Want To Wait In Vain'. Let's hope not. Whatever rain there was seems to have eased off and there's not a brolly in sight, just a colourful parade of Union Flags.

1340: Nerves are building before the third rubber in the Davis Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group One relegation battle between Great Britain and Israel at the International Lawn Tennis Centre in Eastbourne.

Play is due to start at 1430 because of a rain delay.
