Top seed Patty Schnyder breezed into the final of the W&S Open in Cincinnati on Saturday in comprehensive fashion. The Swiss player swept past American qualifier Beth Mattek - conqueror of third seed Jelena Jankovic in the previous round - 6-4 6-1.
The 26-year-old will play the unseeded Akiko Morigami of Japan in the final.
Morigami continued her giant-killing run with a 6-4 6-4 win over fourth seed Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia.
