Mauresmo brushes off Pierce test
Amelie Mauresmo
Top seed Amelie Mauresmo swept aside French compatriot Mary Pierce 6-4 6-1 in the second round of the Antwerp Diamond Games.

"My game is becoming more and more aggressive but at the same time I am calm and focused," said Mauresmo.

"I know that tennis can be disappointing but I am only thinking about the good things."

French Open champion Anastasia Myskina, seeded second, beat France's Tatiana Golovin 6-3 6-7 6-4.

"It was a tight match" said the Russian. "But I expected no less. Tatiana is a very good player."

Australian Alicia Molik battled past Bulgarian Magalena Maleeva 4-6 6-2 7-6.
