Belfast's player Claire Curran has won through to the quarter-finals of the Proximus Diamond Games in Antwerp.

Curran and new Dutch partner Kim Kilsdonk defeated Francesa Lubiani and Maria Marreo 7-6 6-3.

The victory should see Curran climb into the world top 100 rankings and gain entry into the French Open and other Gram Slam tournaments this year.

Curran, partnered by Jane O'Donoghue, lost in a first round tie at Wimbledon last June after getting a late call-up.
