Henman ready to return to action
Tim Henman
Henman has been working out in the gym
Tim Henman has declared himself fit to bounce back from a nagging back injury in Thailand next week.

The Briton was hampered by the injury as he crashed out of the US Open in the first round last month, but is looking forward to playing in Bangkok.

"My back has responded really well over the last few days," he said.

"I've been in the gym and practising and so far I haven't had any negative reaction at all. I'm hoping to put my fitness problems behind me."

Henman has failed to reach a single semi-final in any of his 15 events this season and has slumped to 28th in the world.

"Although I haven't enjoyed anywhere near as much success as I would've wanted so far this year, I still have goals," he told his website.

"I haven't played in Bangkok before but I hear the conditions may suit my game, so fingers crossed that I can get back to winning ways."
