Molik sees comeback end in Bali
Alicia Molik
Third seed Alicia Molik fell 6-4 6-2 to unseeded Alona Bondarenko of Ukraine in the second round of the Wismilak International in Bali on Thursday.

Australian Molik, who missed the French Open and Wimbledon with a virus that affected her balance, returned with a win over Mariana Diaz-Oliva on Tuesday.

"I let her play to her rhythm too much," Molik said after the match. "My serve was also bad today."

Second seed Patty Schnyder beat Virginia Ruano Pascual 6-2 6-3.

"It was tough," said Schnyder. "She had a pretty good run in the second set and I really had to fight back and focus on every point."

Sixth seed Flavia Pennetta beat Jie Zheng of China 4-6 6-3 6-3, while Maria Elena Camerin set up a clash with Lindsay Davenport by ousting Ekaterina Bychkova of Russia 6-4 6-3.
