Fourth set: Henman 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 3-6 6-2 Arazi:
Henman wins the first two points, sending the crowd into raptures. Henman earns two match points with a reaction volley after a hugely entertaining rally but proceeds to lose both. He thinks he has forced a third but the umpire insists the point is played again after a half-call from a linesman.
No matter for Henman as he is handed a third match point when Arazi sends a smash into the net and the Briton closes it out when he wins a sharp exchange of volleys at the net. The crowd reacts by giving the Briton a standing ovation.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 3-6 5-2 Arazi:
A heavy serve gives Henman a 30-15 lead and Arazi then blows a simple backhand as he drills it into the net. The British number one closes out the game with a sublime backhand half-volley pick-up, followed by a simple forehand when Arazi can only float the ball back over the net. Every Henman success is greeted by massive cheers from the crowd, who send a Mexican wave rippling round the court during the changeover.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 3-6 4-2 Arazi:
Henman wins the first point with another unforced error from Arazi and a drop volley helps him to the second as Arazi can only send his forehand into the tramlines, but two dire shots let Arazi level at 30-30. However, the Moroccan sends a tired-looking forehand over the baseline to give Henman a break point and he takes it with a running forehand pass curled down the line past the lunging Arazi.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 3-6 3-2 Arazi:
At 30-0 Henman somehow misses a simple overhead, sending the ball flying off the rim of his racquet miles into the crowd to huge groans from the crowd. He redeems himself on the next point with a well-executed backhand volley and comes up with a service winner on the next point to edge ahead in the set, which is back on serve. Arazi briefly leaves the court for a comfort break.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 3-6 2-2 Arazi:
Arazi misses a routine backhand to fall 30-15 down and although he nearly saves the next point with a shot through his legs as he scampers back to retrieve a Henman lob the Briton finds himself with two break points. On the first Henman rushes the net and levels the set with a sublime stop volley.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 3-6 1-2 Arazi:
Arazi once again drills a ball straight at Henman when he approaches the net and the Briton can only send it miles into the crowd. Henman then double faults to go 30-15 down and puts a half-volley into the net to face two break points. He serves and volleys to save the first and is let off the hook when Arazi drills a second serve into the net on the second but Arazi is given a third chance, only for Henman to once more escape as Arazi send an attempted pass into the net. The Briton follows up with two big serves to get out of trouble.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 3-6 0-2 Arazi:
Henman makes it 15-15 with a heavily top-spun forehand pass and 30-30 with a whipped forehand pass down the line on the run. He is then given a second serve to attack but can only hit a forehand into the net and on game point he balloons a forehand miles over the baseline. Things are beginning to look ominous for the British number one, who has been outplayed for most of the past hour. The momentum is firmly with Arazi.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 3-6 0-1 Arazi:
Henman goes 30-0 down on his serve and is soon staring at three break points. He saves the first with a service winner and the second with a smash but puts a half-volley over the net on the third to hand Arazi the early initiative in the fourth set.
Third set:
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 3-6 Arazi:
Henman wins the first point with an exquisite drop shot but is passed on the second. Arazi finds himself at 15-30 when he puts a backhand volley just into the tramlines but levels with a service winner.
Henman goes set-point down when he sends a forehand return into the net and Arazi duly takes the set with a forehand volley winner.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 3-5 Arazi:
Henman goes to 40-15 with an ace and looks to have picked his game up after a clear dip in the middle of the set. Arazi will now serve for the set.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 2-5 Arazi:
Arazi puts a backhand into the net to go 30-15 down on his serve but Henman then dumps a simple backhand return into the net and a fine cut-off volley gives Arazi game point, which he duly takes.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 2-4 Arazi:
Henman opens up with an ace, but then concedes deuce with a double fault. The Briton spurns one game point but accepts the next with a firm backhand volley after following in a serve.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 1-4 Arazi:
Henman sends a couple of limp groundstrokes into the net and Arazi closes out with an ace. The Moroccan looks to be well in control of the set, although there is only one break in it.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 6-4 1-3 Arazi:
Henman produces a solid service game and now needs to break Arazi to get back into the set.

Arazi fires down his fifth ace as he cruises through his service game.

Henman finds himself 30-15 down as Arazi twice drills the ball straight at him when the Briton approaches the net. Henman levels at 30-30 with a fine second serve but goes break point down after he runs down a dinked Arazi drop shot but sends his cross-court forehand into the tramlines. Arazi then breaks courtesy of an even better drop.

Second set:

Serving for the set Henman starts with a service winner - his 13th point in a row. He puts a volley into the net on the next point but wins the next two to claim two set points. On the first set point Arazi tries to engage him in a back-court duel but Henman approaches the net and puts away a solid forehand volley.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 5-4 Arazi:
Arazi dumps a mid-court backhand volley in to the net to go 30-0 down and then finds himself facing three break points. The Moroccan tries to come in behind his serve but Henman catches him mid-court and the Moroccan sends his half-volley into the net. Henman has now won 12 points in a row.

Henman seems to have rediscovered his rhythm on his serve and cruises through without dropping a point.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 3-4 Arazi:
A game after being broken Henman forces a break point after winning three points in a row he and he duly breaks back after chipping and charging. A drop shot lures Arazi into the net and Henman takes the game with a punched backhand volley as Arazi tries to clip the ball down the line.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 2-4 Arazi:
Henman starts with a double fault and rapidly finds himself staring at three break points, with Arazi seizing the first of them with another in a series of marvellous backhand passes.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 2-3 Arazi:
Henman goes 30-0 love up on the Arazi serve after he wins the point of the match so far with a backhand smash after an incredible recovery shot from Arazi, and the Briton forces two break points. He loses the first as he sends a wild attempted backhand pass miles long and then loses the second as Arazi again attacks the net and Henman just misses with another attempted backhand pass. Some confident play from the Moroccan sees him go on to hold his serve.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 2-2 Arazi:
A double fault - only his second - sees Henman pulled back to 30-30 but he holds his nerve and wins the game with a delightful drop volley.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 1-2 Arazi:
Arazi comes up with his third ace as he holds his serve with ease.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 1-1 Arazi:
Although Henman's first serve is not firing perfectly his second serve is working well and he cruises to 40-0 before two loose shots see Arazi fight his way back into the game. Arazi forces deuce with a great cross-court backhand pass but Henman closes out his serve without any more alarms.
Henman 7-6 (8-6) 0-1 Arazi:
Henman immediately forces a break point on the Arazi serve but spurns it when he clumps a backhand into the net when under no pressure. On the next point another unforced error - his 15th - hands Arazi the initiative and he closes out with an ace.
First set:
Henman 7-6 (8-6) Arazi:
Henman wins the first point of the tiebreak courtesy of a forehand volley and although he then puts a return long the Briton earns the first mini-break courtesy of a fine forehand. A serve straight at Arazi gives him a 3-1 lead and on the next point he follows in a second serve and beats Arazi with a backhand volley down the line.
Arazi pulls it back to 4-2 as Henman leaves him a simple pass after the Briton rushes the net from a poor approach shot. Henman loses the next point to see his lead cut to 4-3, despite the Briton nearly running down a cute Arazi drop volley, and the Moroccan breaks back for 4-4 when Henman sends a backhand volley floating over the baseline.
The Moroccan then takes Henman's serve as the Briton fails to control a fierce drive but Henman breaks back for 5-5 after a fine sliced approach. A penetrating serve sets up an Arazi set point on Henman's serve but Henman punches away a backhand volley to make it 6-6 and he forces his first set point with a very deep second serve which Arazi balloons into the tramlines.
It is on the Arazi serve but his delivery is short and Henman drills a backhand at him as he rushes the net before looping a fizzing topspin cross-court lob over the Moroccan to claim the first set.
Henman 6-6 Arazi:
Henman forces a good opening on the first point but again misses a simple forehand volley. Arazi produces a fine, wristy backhand pass to go 40-0 up and although Henman pulls him back to 40-30 the Moroccan holds his serve to force a tiebreak.
Henman 6-5 Arazi:
Henman goes 30-0 up with an ace but is pulled back to 30-30 and goes break-point down as he misses a sitter of a forehand volley. He saves it with a deep second serve and an equally impressive volley and closes out the game with two first serves, the second of which is an ace - his fourth of the match.
Henman 5-5 Arazi:
The treatment on his neck must have worked because Arazi fires down three fine serves to go 40-0 up. The Moroccan then double faults but wins the next point with an acutely-angled crosscourt forehand which wrong-footed Henman.
Henman 5-4 Arazi:
At 30-30 Henman double faults - his first of the day - to go break point down just a game after getting back on serve. He saves the break point with a fine serve wide to Arazi's forehand and comes up with two more good serves to hold. During the changeover Arazi receives treatment on his ricked neck and a Mexican Wave ripples round Centre Court as the crowd amuses itself.
Henman 4-4 Arazi:
A delightful lob puts Henman 30-15 ahead and he is handed a break point when Arazi puts a backhand into the net. Arazi then misses his first serve and Henman chips and charges on the second, forcing Arazi to dump his backhand into the net. Henman's break is greeted by a roar from the enthusiastic People's Sunday crowd.
Henman 3-4 Arazi:
Henman's serve looks in good working order and he closes out with an ace.
Henman 2-4 Arazi:
Henman takes charge of the opening point and puts away a winning volley but at 30-30 Arazi does the same. The Moroccan, who seems to have a slight neck problem, then double faults to hand Henman a break point, but the Briton dumps his chipped backhand return into the net. Arazi produces a sweet drop shot to claim game point and he wins the game when Henman sends a forehand into the middle of the net.
Henman 2-3 Arazi:
The clash in styles is beautifully illustrated as Henman serves and volleys his way to an easy game, while baseliner Arazi remains rooted to the back of the court.
Henman 1-3 Arazi:
Henman sends a poor forehand long on the first point and looks to be struggling with his timing on his groundstrokes. The Briton sends two simple forehands into the net and Arazi closes out the game with his first ace.
Henman 1-2 Arazi:
Arazi forces three break points with some flashing shots from the back of the court as Henman advances to the net. The British number one stays back on the final point and totally mis-times a forehand, sending it looping several feet belong the baseline to hand Arazi the initiative.
Henman 1-1 Arazi:
Arazi wins his opening service game for the loss of two points.
Henman 1-0 Arazi:
Henman starts with a 126mph service winner and closes out the game with a comfortable volley as he makes a solid start to the match.
