TIM HENMAN Age: 29 Singles ranking: 8 Doubles ranking: 300 Cup record: W32 L12
Tim Henman has shown good form since returning from injury towards the end of last year. His first Masters Series title in Paris in October, and a run to the final of the Indian Wells Masters have seen Henman jump back to eighth in the world rankings.
But the familiar inconsistencies were evident in a five-set defeat to Guillermo Canas at the Australian Open, and in losing to Jurgen Melzer in the first round of the Nasdaq-100 Open.
However Henman is clearly a cut above the Luxembourg players, and his Davis Cup record is excellent.
GREG RUSEDSKI Age: 30 Singles ranking: 105 Double ranking: N/A Cup record: W22 L8
Greg Rusedski makes his tennis return after one of the hardest-fought victories of his career - overturning his positive test for nandrolone. But having been out of the game for so long, team captain Jeremy Bates has decided only to play him in the doubles.
His doubles record with Tim Henman is a perfect eight out of eight, so Bates will be confident of another victory.
If needs be he could be drafted in for the final day singles as well.
ARVIND PARMAR Age: 25 Singles ranking: 148 Doubles ranking: 285 Cup record: W0 L4
This could be the chance for Arvind Parmar to break his Davis Cup duck. At present he is most remembered for blowing a two-set lead in the decisive match against Ecuador's Giovanni Lapentti on grass in 2000.
But he has been handed the chance to put the record straight in the day one singles.
Parmar spends most of his time playing on the Challenger Tour and is still struggling to break into the top 100 in the world rankings.
JONATHAN MARRAY Age: 23 Singles ranking: 385 Doubles ranking: 192 Cup record: W0 L0
A Davis Cup virgin, Jonathan Marray will get some good experience in this tie. He won the British Satellite event in singles at Sheffield this year, while he and partner Mark Hilton have won four doubles events.
"Jonny has earned his place in this squad on the merit of his doubles results over the last 12 months and we are delighted for him," said team captain Jeremy Bates.
