HAVE YOUR SAY

Steve, UK

What is the lowest points total recorded since the Premiership began, and do you think West Ham will beat it?

Watford hold the dubious distinction of "fewest points in a Premiership season" - 24 in 1999-2000. As for West Ham, if they keep going at the rate they're have started - five points from eight games - they will be close to lowering Watford's record, but I don't think it will happen.

Martin Lowe, Scotland

Can you settle a bet? Who is the oldest player to have appeared in the English Premier League? All we know is that Steve Ogrizovic is the second oldest?

Goalkeepers figure in positions 3-2-1 in the "oldest Premier League player" records. Third is Neville Southall (when with Bradford City), second Ogrizovic (Coventry City) and, heading the list, John Burridge, who was aged 43 years, five months, 11 days when he played for Manchester City against QPR on 14 May 1995.

Ian, UK

What is the biggest half-time deficit that has ever been overcome in the English League?

There is only one instance of a club failing to win a League match after leading 5-0 at half-time. It happened 98 years ago, in the First Division on 12 November 1904, when Sheffield Wednesday scored five in the first half at home to Everton. The result was a 5-5 draw.

David Puckett, UK

Have you heard any rumours that a Premiership club are about to go into liquidation?

No. Some have huge debts, among them Chelsea's reported 97.8m, and Leeds' 77.9m. They will stay in business, but some clubs down the divisions might not survive to nest season.

Graham, Huddersfield

What is the League record for consecutive draws by the same team, and for most draws by one team in a season?

Torquay United have played most consecutive draws - eight in Division Three from October to December in 1969. Four clubs share the record for most League draws in a season: 23 by Norwich (Division One 1978-79), Exeter (Division Four 1986-87), Cardiff and Hartlepool (both Division Three, 1997-98).

Damian Moran, Ireland

A friend had challenged me to name five England internationals since World War II with an "x" in their name. Is he spoofing, as I can think of only four: Lee Dixon, Kerry Dixon, Graeme Le Saux and Graham Rix?

There are two more to add to that list, I reckon Damian. Mike Duxberry, who was capped 10 times with Manchester United, and Jason Wilcox, who played in three England matches (two while with Blackburn, one with Leeds).

Gregory Morris, UK

When a player comes off the field after being substituted, can he rejoin the action after another substitution?

Once a player is substituted, the match is over for him. If it's a cup-tie that goes to a penalty shoot-out, he is not allowed to take part.

Greg, Sydney, Australia

How many clubs have been permanently in the Premiership since it started in season 1992-93?

Only nine clubs have an ever-present record in the Premiership: Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea, Everton, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester United, Southampton and Tottenham.
