Newport Gwent Dragons turned on the style to seal a 30-19 bonus point win against Glasgow at Rodney Parade.

The visitors gifted the Dragons an early lead as James Arlidge intercepted on half-way to race over and convert.

The hosts added first-half tries from James Tovey and Aled Brew and skipper Ashley Smith claimed the bonus point try after the break.

Glasgow wing Colin Shaw scored their only try in the first-half and Dan Parks kicked the rest of their points.

The opponents came into the game in top form. Glasgow were unbeaten in their two matches - both at home - while the Dragons scored three tries against Ulster to go top of the table in the first week before going down fighting in Dublin at European champions Leinster last Saturday.

Centre Tom Riley's clean break ended with him sending full-back Tovey over.

Fly-half Parks replied with a 55-metre penalty, but from the restart Glasgow did not touch the ball as Riley sent wing Aled Brew over.

606: DEBATE

Glasgow wing Shaw struck back in the 28th-minute from close range and Parks' conversion made it 19-13 to the hosts.

An angled Tovey penalty 35 minutes put Paul Turner's side further ahead only for Parks to keep Glasgow in game with a 38th min penalty from 40m out to leave the scores on 22-16 at the break.

Parks and Tovey exchanged early second-half penalties before the hosts sealed their bonus point with a wonderful try.

Richard Fussell latched on to a loose kick to counter-attack, beating half of the visiting defence before Smith won the race to Arlidge's grubber-kick to the corner.

Glasgow prop Justin Va'a was sin-binned in injury time after a series of collapsed scrums and warnings.
