Ireland are playing their home games at Croke Park

Lansdowne Road is being redeveloped so Wales make their first visit to the 82,500-capacity Croke Park.

And Wales rugby legend Davies said: "I think Croke Park will suit us better because Lansdowne Road is not a place anyone liked playing.

"Croke Park is a massive arena, the surface is beautiful and I think it will suit our style of play."

Victory for Wales would see them win the Triple Crown.

And Davies believes playing at bigger sporting stadia lifts opposing teams.

The former Llanelli and Cardiff outside-half Davies told the BBC's Scrum V Six Nations Special: "I think Croke Park will be a bit like the Millennium Stadium or Wembley.

"Such magnificent stadiums inspire other teams to play there.

"Ireland will start as favourites but with the self belief we have now, I think we can win it.

"It will be the toughest game of the championship for us."

Wales' 47-8 win over Italy, their third successive championship victory, and Ireland's 34-13 defeat of Scotland has set up a mouth-watering Triple Crown challenge at Croke Park.

One player with the experience of winning a Grand Slam and defeating Ireland is Kevin Morgan.

The Dragons full back scored the clinching try against Ireland that earned Wales Grand Slam glory in 2005.

"It was the proudest moment of my career," he said.

"We built up momentum through the whole campaign, it's amazing what a bit of momentum can do.

"Wales have built up a momentum now and it was the same in 2005.

"But I think we need to play our best game of the championship in Ireland.

"Ireland are a good side at Croke Park but we are improving with every game.
