Development officer Matthew Silva is poised to become the new backs coach at Cardiff RFC. The ex-Pontypool, Newbridge, Cardiff, Wales A and Wales rugby league back will replace Gruff Rees, who is set to link up with Neath RFC.
Rees is expected to be named as the replacement for Patrick Horgan at the double Welsh Premier champions.
Meanwhile, Cardiff are thought to be tracking Llanelli Scarlets fly-half cum centre Craig Evans.
The Blue and Blacks have had a major coaching reshuffle in the close season, with Justin Burnell appointed as head coach in place of Howard Stone.
Stone has accepted a step down to take charge of the forwards at the Arms Park.
